Frequently asked questions

Official support for RubinOT and Tibia Global

Everything you need to know about PingArmor.

Do I need two internet connections?

Yes. PingArmor needs two internet connections on your PC (e.g. ethernet cable + phone USB tethering). One acts as primary and the other as automatic backup.

Tip: how to improve the phone (tethering) connection?

Before connecting PingArmor, toggle airplane mode on your phone on and off. This forces it to reconnect to the most stable tower/network, improving the quality of the secondary link. PingArmor already warms up the interface automatically, but airplane mode acts on the phone side and can improve it further. It is not required.

What if my second internet link drops while I'm using it?

PingArmor monitors both interfaces in real time. If the secondary drops (cable unplugged, tethering off, signal lost), the shield turns yellow with AT RISK and the interface shows OFFLINE in red. When you reconnect (e.g. re-enable tethering), the app detects it automatically within seconds and restores failover. No need to quit the game or disconnect the tunnel. We recommend keeping the app window visible while playing.

Does the app detect when the game route is bad?

Yes. PingArmor monitors the actual latency between your connection and the game server. If it detects that ping has spiked due to a routing problem, even when the internet itself is working fine, it automatically switches to the second connection. This can force a new route and normalize the lag. It works in most cases, but it is not guaranteed in 100% of situations.

Does the game become slower?

Added latency ranges from 0ms to 15ms, and may even be unnoticeable. The server is located in São Paulo, in the same region as the game servers. In return, you get protection against drops. In cases where the ISP has poor routing, the relay may have a more direct path to the game server — reducing effective ping. This depends on the ISP and is not guaranteed.

Can I use it on more than one PC?

Yes, but only one device at a time. When you sign in on another PC, the previous session is closed automatically.

Does the app require administrator privileges?

Yes. Windows requires admin privileges to create virtual network adapters and configure routes.

What does "Saves" mean on the dashboard?

It's the number of times PingArmor automatically switched internet links during the session. Each save is a drop you didn't feel in-game.

Which games are supported?

RubinOT and Tibia Global with full support and automatic detection. Other games are not guaranteed. See games and servers

How does the free trial work?

When you create your account, you get a 3-day free trial. Just download the app, sign in and use it. No credit card required.

Can I cancel during the trial?

The trial is free and automatically expires after 3 days. There are no charges. If you want to keep using it, buy a plan before it expires.

Is there a refund?

Yes. You have 7 days after purchase to request a full refund by email ([email protected]).

Can PingArmor reduce my ping?

In some cases, yes. The PingArmor relay server is located in São Paulo, in the same region as the game servers. If your ISP uses a long or poorly peered network path to reach the game servers, the relay may have a more direct route — reducing your effective ping. This is not guaranteed: it depends on your ISP and location. For most players in the region, the relay adds 0ms to 15ms. The main benefit of PingArmor is protection against drops and route lag, not ping reduction.

If I lose connection to the server while playing, will I lose the game?

No. When PingArmor cannot reach the authentication server (due to your internet fluctuating or server instability), a yellow banner appears saying "Reconnecting to server". The tunnel keeps working normally — you continue playing. The app retries automatically at increasing intervals (30s, 1min, 2min, 5min) until reconnected. If the connection returns, the banner disappears on its own.

Why did "Session lost" appear in the app?

It means the server rejected your current session for a specific reason. The 6 possible reasons are: session invalidated (you or someone logged in from another PC), account disabled by admin, license expired, password changed on another device, session token expired (30-day limit), or invalid token (corrupted configuration). The red banner shows which reason applied. In all cases except "invalid token", you have a few minutes to click "Re-authenticate" and return to normal without losing the tunnel.

Does the tunnel disconnect the moment my session expires?

No. The app gives you a tolerance window with a visible countdown in the banner. For "session invalidated" or "token expired" (30-day limit), the window starts at 10 minutes and is automatically extended up to 30 minutes total if a game is open — enough time to finish your hunt and re-authenticate calmly. For "license expired", you get a fixed 10 minutes with no extension. For "account disabled" or "password changed on another device", the window is shorter (1 minute). The intention is never to drop you mid-match in scenarios where leeway is possible.

Do I have to type the TOTP code every time I open the app?

No. When logging in with TOTP for the first time, check the "Trust this device for 30 days" checkbox before confirming. On the next logins from the same computer, the app skips directly to the dashboard without asking for the code. Trust validity is renewed at each successful login. If you change your password, disable TOTP, or use "forgot password", the trust is automatically cleared — for security reasons, the next login will require the code again.
